Our Services
Critical Measures provides
training and consulting services to universities and university
athletic departments in the following areas:
- Diversity Training. Our training programs include NCAA
approved courses on race, gender and sexual orientation in college
sports, team building, cross-cultural communication and understanding,
addressing cross-cultural conflict, executive coaching and mentoring
and adjusting to American life and norms for foreign-born athletes.
- Employment Law Training and Consulting. Our
services include training or consulting on the Equal Employment
laws,
effective hiring and interview techniques, performance appraisals,
effective discipline and discharge techniques and other matters.
- Anti-Harassment or Hazing Programs. These training programs
cover all aspects of harassment including sexual, race-based,
same-sex, national origin, religious and disability-based harassment.
Further, these sessions will define respect in easy to understand
behavioral terms so that participants know what respect is when
their behavior crosses the line.
- Title IX Assessments and Compliance
Planning. We provide
a thorough evaluation of an institution's present level of compliance
with Title IX and compare that to existing precedents from the
Office of Civil Rights and the courts. We can also help your
institution develop a plan of action for correcting compliance
deficiencies.
- Conflict Management and Misconduct Investigations. We
can provide training programs or consulting assistance on conflict
management, cross-cultural dispute resolution, and complaint
handling skills. Alternatively, we can advise on the best means
of resolving workplace disputes or serve as mediators to help
resolve such disputes efficiently and cost-effectively. Finally,
we can carry out neutral fact-finding investigations using skilled
and trained investigators.
