Critical Measures was
among the first training and consulting organizations in the United States to specialize
in cross cultural health care. Over the years, we have worked
with more than 20 health care organizations on a variety of diversity
issues and culturally competent patient care. Our clients include
leading hospitals and hospital corporations, health insurers

Critical
Measures offers live training on cultural competence in
health care and cultural competence organizational assessments
for health plans, hospitals and clinics. Health care entities
that work with Critical Measures consultants to complete a
cultural competence organizational assessment will learn whether
they meet current federal and state regulatory requirements,
as well as how they compare against national best practices
for delivering culturally and linguistically appropriate care.
Once
an organizational assessment has been completed, the findings
can be used to create a Strategic Cultural Competence Plan
for the organization and to further tailor or customize training
programs to address identified problems. Our
live training modules include: Delivering Culturally Appropriate
Patient Care, Working with Interpreters, Ethical Issues in
Cross Cultural Care, Cross Cultural Communication, Cross Cultural
Teambuilding, Managing Cross Cultural Conflict, Legal and Regulatory
Issues in Delivering Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate
Health Care, and Cultural Issues in Death and Dying.
