Jerry Benston, Jr., is Vice President for Critical Measures, LLC. He is the former Director of Diversity and Cultural Competence for one of the largest healthcare employers in the State of Wisconsin. He has over 20 years of experience in training and development, employee relations, compensation and benefits, labor negotiations, policy and procedure development, recruitment, and EEO/AAP.  He is a former Vice President of Human Resources for a major financial organization, and has been an advisor to executive management on the importance of the total Human Resources and Organizational Development functions relative to inclusion, productivity and profitability. 

Jerry is an accomplished presenter in the area of employment skills training, and published “The Employment Skills Reference,” a publication for the strategic job seeker.  He has also provided guidance and direction for his own recruitment, training and management consulting organization.  In addition, has developed and presented diversity awareness and cultural competence education programs for major organizations throughout the United States.  Some of his clients include: The City of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, South Florida Water District, American Family Insurance, 3M, Childrens Hospital, Rockford Memorial Hospital, First Bank System and many more. Benston received his Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, and did graduate work towards his MBA at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

He is a member/past member of the following organizations: Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), National Association of Manufacturers, Urban Bankers, National Forum for Black Public Administrators, INROADS of Wisconsin, MATC Business Outreach Advisory Committee, The Leaders Forum, Institute For Diversity in Health Management, Young Professionals of Milwaukee and is the recipient of the YMCA Black Achiever Award.
